Sorry in advance to the Euro Knucks but Brian and I and our wives are in Louisville for the Ryder Cup as guests of Anthony Kim. First off the Euros have kicked our b utts so we need to return the favor just to keep it sporting. Secondly I have been working with Anthony for a year and he has made so much progress not only as a golfer but as a person it is scary. THis is one of the goals we set at last September when he was 70th in the world. He has climbed to 11th and is the hottest American golfer at the moment

Great news BP! I don't really follow or play golf but I'm rooting for Kim. Best of luck and have fun!

Have fun out there - the Ryder Cup is a great event - I was at the one in Detroit a few years back. Good luck to AK and the US team.

Wow, Have a great weekend guys! Win or lose, I'll be crying in the pub at the end of this one (I always do, though it happens to coincide with my Sunday night gig, so I'll be crying between songs and sets). I'll be scanning the crowds for a glimpse of our wonderful Balls.

Ah, the Ryder Cup - Sports greatest competition. Honour, sportsmanship, heart, soul, guts, drama, laughter, tears...

...and EUROPE SHOWING THE US HOW GOLF IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED!!! Ha ha ha ha!!!

And seriously, Ernie Ball golf balls and Clubs DOES have a good ring to it. Imagine Anthony Kim wowing the world with "Balls are best" all over his gear?

To everybody, fans and players alike, lets make everybody proud this weekend.

Welcome to Louisville BP, Brian and spouses! Sorry that Ike turned off a lot of lights here. For those who don't know Kentucky wasn't spared the remnents of Hurricane Ike; we had almost 2 solid hours of sustained 45 mph winds with gusts up to 70 mph on Sunday. Nothing like the real devistation down in the Texas Gulf Coast, but it was enough to take down almost half the power grid here particlularly in the older and historic neighborhoods. As of this morning there were still over 140,000 households & businesses without power.

So to any visitors here, sorry and be patient - remember we have a lot of drivers here who just don't know that they are supposed to treat an out of service street light as a 4-way stop.

JOhn The people and the city have been fabulous...we ate at a really cool place on the old district last night and we couldnt believe the trees that were down....ones that had to be hundreds of years old.

Im really excited and Louisville is really happening....going to visit some stores today!

BP - sounds like you were in the Highlands/Bardstown Road area; usually that is a really happening area with a lot of nice, interesting places. That's not on my normal route from the east suburbs to downtown for work, so I'm glad that's up. I would rather vistors get to experience the "real" Louisville instead of the plastic chain restaurants/pubs in the downtown "4th Street Live" area (Hard Rock Cafe, Fridays, etc.).

If you didn't eat at Jack Fry's last night, you should try to go there while you're here; very cool "new Southern" cuisine.

That is awesome Pops. Funny, my dad told me a while back he was watching a golf show (he really a big golf fan) and he saw you on it. I asked him how did he know it Big Poppa...he said, well he was with AK and I remember him from the forum bash pics I showed. Really cool. Have fun out there and GO USA!
