Sabre Bridge Cover

I have a Sabre that I love, great guitar!
One thing I'd been wondering about was the bridge cover, I don't hate it but I don't love it either and it stopped the wang bar from swinging freely so I scoured the interwebs and came to the forums looking for any pics that would give me an idea of how it would look without the cover....no luck; I couldn't find a single pic of a coverless Sabre bridge anywhere....so I figured I'd post a couple.
Super easy to take the bridge cover off, just remove the trem springs and the bridge pops right out, 2 Phillips head screws on either side of the bridge to remove and the cover comes right off. Now the bar swings freely all the way round and I honestly think the bridge looks pretty cool without the cover.

I never particularly liked the 'bat wing' look without the cover but I'm glad you do!

The cover should never stop the bar from moving freely though.

On the trem block you will see three screws, two small Allen grub screws and one larger Allen head screw. The small grub screw at top of the trem block is it tension screw that adjusts how freely the trem arm can swing. The large screw holds in place the metal retaining bar, which the notch on the trem arm should click onto. On the the base of the trem block directly in line with the end of the arm is the other grub screw that should prevent the arm going to deep into the block. Check that last one is present and not adjusted too low in the block. (Caution: that may be a very short screw. If you drop it, it's easy to lose).

Haha - yeah the "bat wing" aspect is a bit of a downer but it's pretty understated.
I definitely got the tension screw adjusted where I want; interesting point about how far in the bar is, feels right to me but TBH I haven't checked the grub screw you're talking about, though the thought that it might be pushed in farther than it should did occur to me at some point....at this point, long as it's working, staying in tune and doing what I want it to, all good. Really love these guitars and appreciate the feedback and tips!!
