This is really sad news.I never knew he was sick all along but i suppose its not something somebody would talk openly about on a public forum to mostly complete strangers.Saying that though even though i never had the pleasure of meeting the guy i feel very sad for the fact that one of own has passed away and that we will never see him post here again.

OK this is such sad news, I saw the post this morning but work issues have kept me offline until now.

Cancer sucks and was so hopeing and praying Mr.Greene would beat it.

My heart and condolences go out to his family and all his freinds, including our knucklehead family.

While I was never fortunate enough to meet Michael in person, he was a freind of mine and always will be. The greatest moment of my time on this fourm involved him and foggy. It was Michael who arranged a sale of the guitar we raffled off for Erin to go to a freind of Michaels son who so wanted to learn to play, so we were able to let a young aspiring guitar player start off with a quality guitar, we called it the karma guitar because it did lots of good things!

I will miss you and may you rest in peace.

And please everyone donate to the cause Fred posted so we can end this nightmare called cancer.

I really don't know what to say. Michael was a sweet guy, we hung a few times, played some guitar at my place. I'm sad to the point of tears.

I will go to his wake this week. I will give condolences from all of us to his family and I'll sign a Mass card from all of us.

PLease do Ernie and thank you, I too have been sad to the point of tears.

Just a few of Michael's contributions to the forum:

  • Founded the ALOC

    Which is awesome
  • Introduced "no pics, no guitar" rule

Did not know that thanks Pete
  • Told us the name of the Reflex before it was announced

    Yep remeber that one:)

  • Started the "forum owned guitar count" thread

Which I managed to totally screw up:eek:

Wow....terrible news. I'll add my condolences. I first met Michael at one of Pete's clinics, and while I didn't know him very well, it was clear that he was one of the good ones. He will be missed. :(

just an addition to what Keith had said about contributing to the foundation listed...

without donations it is nearly impossible to fund the type of research needed to get the proper medicines needed to end this evil we call Cancer.

i have an uncle whom is a scientist dedicated to oncology research and by the time a medicine is at the point for FDA to approve (or reject) it has a price setting right at a Billion dollars invested... so every dollar counts and brings us that much closer to finding a cure. So donate away...

I'm just at a loss for words. A very sad day indeed. He will be greatly missed here and I'm certain many other places as well. A truly friendly and helpful man. The ALOC will surely miss his presence.

My condolences to his friends and family. Rest in peace, Michael.
