Hi all,

I think I'll have to adjust at least one of the saddles.
I have a buzz issue and to figure out where it was buzzing, I deliberately increased action to identify the buzzing point. After tuning and adjust a bit the truss rod, and tuning again .... I still have my A string buzzing from fret 2 to 6, when others strings have a quite high action and no buzz at all anywhere else.

So, how should I adjust the saddle? This trem on a Majesty is new to me and don't know how to do this. I see 2 small kind of screw heads beside each saddle, I think this could be where I should apply a tool, but the head of the screw is a small hole, circle shape (not for allen key I think)... well don't know exactly what to do.

Could someone help on this?

Thanks for your help!

OK. I found the right Allen keys. indeed 1.5mm.

So, I adjusted the A string saddle and raised it until I have no buzzing between fret 2 to 6... But unfortunatly I still have these buzz even if the saddle is higher than others, so I'm not following at all the radius anymore. The A string saddle is a bit above the D one (that should be the highest one I think)... and well to be honest this looks strange and is quite not comfortable to play... and I still have buzzing...

any idea? 20151218_123052.jpg 20151218_122400.jpg 20151218_122415.jpg

From your pics the trem plate does not look parallel to the body. It is raised from the back side, which means that you need to tighten the springs at the back and level it up with the body first. I'd do that first, not really necessary but it does impact your action.

Check the relief in the neck, and make sure you don't have a back bow. If you do, add a bit of relief by turning the truss anti clockwise. The neck can be absolutely straight or have a bit of relief based on what you prefer. I would check that next.

What sort of a buzz are you referring to? A low action will surely get you some buzz when played acoustic and it's fine. As you long as a you get good sustain and no buzz through an amp, you are good. Is it happening on just one string or all the strings?

well, the trem is not paralell to the body indeed, but on the photo it looks more than it is in real. It is getting out of the body by 1.5mm.
If I have it more parallel, I will have better action and more buzz. And as far as my action is already low, this is fine to me. I did already some little neck adjusts which had for consequence to take away strings from neck a bit. But again action is fine now.

I'm buzzing only on the A string, and only from frets 2 to 6. I've got them playing acoustic but also, and that is annoying, playing through my amp.
I always solved any issues on my other guitars but this time... it looks strange to me.
And raising the saddle of the A string didn't solved the issue...

Don't know what to do...

I would reach out to EBMM support and give them a call and explain the issue to them.

Also, maybe take your guitar to a good luthier (someone you trust), and have them take a look at it. If the problem is happening on a single string and independent of the action and string height, it could be something else.

Hope that you are able to resolve your issue.

Cheers.

It's hard to say what's going on without seeing the guitar ... taking it to a tech is a good idea if you're stumped. You can also contact MM customer support who can walk you through it.

I did another adjust by raising the trem a bit on the B string side and lower it a bit on the E string side, meaning that the trem is out of alignment a bit. This solved a bit the buzz on the A string.
I lowered also a bit the saddle of the B string... well doesn't look bad.

Does this trem support this kind of adjust, or it should always be the same height on the 2 screws (on B string and E string sides)?

I thought something about bringing guitar to a tech... I'm not sure he shall touch and adjust the guitar as it is brand new...for warranty reasons...well just a thought.

Thanks
