SBMM: JP70 playability?

So, my wife and I drove to a little shop in CT today to play a JP70 in the transparent purple. What a great guitar for the price! (And a suprizingly awesome little shop as well!!!) Given the price I was quoted, I just might have to pull the trigger on one of the two they had left in stock.

Is it possible to obtain EBMM JP knobs to replace the SBMM knobs? I forgot to ask the guy at the shop while there

That's what I thought. Pete Dubaldo is a SUPER guy, and a fantastic dealer of EBMM and SBMM. He can do any mod that you like to the SBMM guitars as well. I highly recommend a purchase from him. He's also very active here on the Forum.

I just called to speak with Pete about ordering the new JP170D - based on your recommendation (thank you). I wasn't sure what to expect since these guitars have or at least had a pending release date. So, Pete was a pleasure to speak with and he actually called the SBMM rep (you maybe?) to confirm availability of the JP170D. He called me back within 15 minutes to tell me that he could have one in a week - I BOUGHT IT! Now thats service!

Yup - Pete ordered in a couple of the new items, and that is one of them. I just went out and handpicked them for him, and they are REALLY nice! Congrats on the new guitar!
