Screws in front of EBMM StingRay

New to this forum. I have a question about an EBMM StingRay 4H on Reverb. There are four screws in the front of the body, two by the neck, and two near the control plate. I have not seen this on any other StingRay that I encountered from Googling. Any idea what the deal is with this? Thanks.

Maybe it had a custom pick guard on it at one time.

I'd reach out to the seller and see if they know. I looked up the listing on Reverb and other than the screws everything looks right (and the serial lookup confirms this as well). My guess is like gluvhand said -- custom pickguard, custom rests, or some other cosmetic stuff to maybe doll up a stage show.
