Hey friendly, knowledgeable EB folks! I was wondering is anyone could tell me the year of my Luke model... serial number: 005196. It's signed on the back by Steve. I met him at a party in Nashville some years back when a friend of mine was singing bgv's with Toto. Thanks!!

Hey Studley, I believe that first 0 is supposed to be a G ... and if so, that means your Luke in Luke Blue was completed on 2/11/99. Cool about meeting Luke, he's the funniest, nicest guy.

Hi.
I want to get any information on guitar ASS s.n. 617522
thank you.

ekit, I think that your 6 is a G - and if so, that means your standard bridge Axis SuperSport in Blue Pearl was completed on 10/31/01.

Axis G04401 Black

rev, your Axis was completed on 11/19/98. Does your Axis have a cream pickguard?

Hi,

I'm happy user of MM JP 6 #G33519. Could You tell me about this guitar?

puchaty, yes, your John Petrucci model in the Limited Edition for 2006 was completed on August 30, 2006 and has a black finish, and sports gold hardware which we used for the first time that year.

Nice !!!!:D

Dan,

Can you help me out with 88761? Is it one of the last batch? Seems to be one of the highest #'s Ive seen.

Thanks!

Island,

It was among the last ones that we made of the EVH.s. Your Translucent Purple one here was completed on September 25th, and we last made them on the 28th of that month.

Thanks so much Dan.... I appreciate you looking that up. It's nice to know the Luke's date of birth.

And yes, Luke is a great guy.... very down to earth when we met and I also got to see them play at the Ryman here in town, it was killer! I also met David P. and Bobby K.
Hungate showed up too (he lives here now.) David hadn't seen Luke in years and it was pretty dang cool to see the "brothers" reconnect. I work with David from time to time... a lot of people don't know what a talented horn and guitar player he is. This is probably for another thread......

Thanks Dan!! But I was wrong! :( I gave not proper SN. It will be not G33519 but G33719. Sorry for my misprint.

Kevin, your Silhouette was completed on 6/19/91 and originally sent to Japan through our Japanese distributor, according to our records. I think we called that finish Butterscotch, but it never had an official name .... we show it should have an HSH pickup configuration. Classic!

Well, that just changes everything .... :p Now your guitar has miraculously transformed into having a Blue Pearl finish, matching headstock and standard dot inlays .. with a build date of 9/21/06 and an original ship-to of Drum City Guitarland near Denver, Colorado.

Hope that's right ....

Thanks Dan!

Wasn't that the first year for the Silhouette? Cool...

Guess I've got a 'vintage' EBMM, kinda equivalent to a '56 Strat :)

It's old wood already!

Thanks again

Kav - sorry to break it to you, but the first year for the Silhouette was 1986 - which was why we did this commemorative model: http://www.ernieball.com/site/flyers/20th_ann.html

But hey - yours is still pretty vinatge though! 1991 was the year we started using the Floyd Rose bridges and the DiMarzio pickups as well as using the 5-bolt neckplates with the sculpted neck joints. Pretty sweet I thiink! :D

Dr Gonzo, you just may be onto something! That's kind of funny that I mentioned the Silhouette 20th just a couple of posts ago, and there you are buying one - welcome to the Twilight Zone! :)

Your beautiful (as I think all the Silo 20ths are) Silhouette 20th equipped with a rosewood board was completed on Dec. 27 2006 and was of course shipped to the Island Continent.
