Bud,

This is actually a Silhouette Special tremolo in Blue pearl, rosewood fretboard. It was completed on 3/16/98 and sent to New Jersey Guitar & Bass Center in Edison, NJ.

Cheers!

Because of an agreement we had made with EVH 's management early in 1995, all EVH guitars that were on order had to be completed by September 30, 1995. At that time, we had a 14-month backorder. Since the 30th fell on a Saturday, and our factory work week ended on Thursday, that meant the last day was really the 28th. On those last 2 days when yours was made, we completed about 76 EVH guitars - in those days, that was quite an accomplishment for our small factory (this was before the new Music Man factory we are currently in was built).

Your Sunburst EVH was among the last dozen of that color made in the EVH. Howzat for trivia?

calabash,

Welcome!

Serial # G30619 was sent to the Arts Music Store in Newmarket, Ontario, (where you probably bought it!) after being completed on 12/7/05.

Cheers!

I couldn't resist and bought a Luke LE '05 Buttercream from PM Blues. Serial #G27692

Excellent guitar. Did get a scratch (back upper horn) during shipment due to rough handling. The case pocket is broken, but the guitar is fine. PM Blues is helping me figure out my options about getting the scratch repaired and a new case. Quite a bummer for such an excellent instrument.

Q: I like the standard MM black case much better for transport. The vintage looks cool, but not as practical to me. I noticed that Musician's Friend sells the MM black molded case. Are all the MM black cases the same for the six string guitars? Or, is there specific inner molds for the various models. When I set the Luke inside my SM-Y2D case, there is a little more movement for the guitar. Is this normal? If so, I may order one for my Luke. Thanks in advance!

JP Buttercream,

I believe for every 6 string there is the same case. The movement in the case is normal and EBMM did that because of the UPS horror stories with stress crack etc. Having a little movement for the guitar in the case works better for transporting (I think BP posted that). And as far as I know you can order a new MM case from any EBMM dealer,

Philip
