A former owner changed the trem from the original 6-point into a two-point. But he will send me the original one in a few days so it is possible to rechange.

The tuners that are now installed are Schaller locking tuners, thats what I think. The Grovers have a screwdriver mechanism on the top of the post, isn´t it? These tuners aren`t installed any more.

Greets

Yes, the Grovers had a special tool to tighten the strings, though a screwdriver could work. The former owner wisely installed the Schallers (I would assume M6-INDs, though I could not tell from the picture). The bridge looks pretty good too. If it works well, my advice: don't fix it. ;)

My Guitar Serial Numbers:

EBMM Rosewood Axis Super Sport # G30440

EBMM Silhouette Special - Pearl Lavender # G13798

Do you think you can help me out with a DOB on the two listed above??? That would be much appreciated!

Sure, that's what we do around here! Your Axis SuperSport was completed on 11/02/05 and was shipped to GC.

Your Pearl Lavender Silhouette Special was completed on 1/30/01 and was shipped to GC in central Chicago. Sort of a rarity, that one!

Hey man, think I can get a DOB on a BFR JP? Serial #G42628
Thanks!

AJ

AJ, that serial number traces your JP BFR to a 6-string, not a 7 - a 7-string serial # would always start with an F, not a G - are you missing a string?

Anyways, the serial number you provided refers to a JP6 BFR in Flame Amethyst Burst completed on 11/26/08 and sent to Long & McQuade.

Thanks Dan! It is a 6 string. Not a 7.

Dan,

the tuners and the trem (a Hipshot Model) are working very well, so there´s no need to change anything. But I think I have to change the pus. Bridge and neck are good, especially neck. But I don´t know exactly what does the middle pu. The positions 2 and 4 are loosing a lot of highs. For my opinion the middle pu is the reason because position 1,3 and 5 don´t do so. But the guitar itself is a wonderful piece of wood, so I´m sure I will keep it for the rest of my days. New pups aren´t a problem and they are changed very easy if the rest of the guitar is as good as here.

Dan,
Why was the Pearl Lavender Silo sort of a rarity? was it due to the color for that
model?

Just curious.
