shipping woes - happy ending ?
I bought a MM bass a while ago from someone in the States and went for a shipping option which didn't include tracking.
The bass never arrived (which of course was no fault of the seller) and as I had no way of knowing where it was and what the delay was I waited.
Once it became clear that nothing was going to arrive I got in contact with the seller who informed me that he'd started proceeding to claim on the insurance.
After more than I week I contacted the seller again to see what was happening and got no reply.
As I can't do anything from my end (as I wasn't the guy who paid for the shipping in person, though obviously I paid the guy who was) I asked for some reassurance that things were in progress, still no reply.
I have had to apply to Paypal before the deadline for processing a claim runs out (we're at 43 days now and the limit is 45), much to my disappointment as I don't want to believe that the seller is anything but a straight-up guy.
I'm hoping that if things can't be resolved that I can at least get my money back from my credit card company.
It has been a lesson to me that saving money isn't always the best solution and I shall be more careful in future.
Paul.
