My Ampesetup changed completely the last few months since i received the fractal audio axe fx.
before that i had mostly engls (powerball and sovereign), koch (twintone) and marshall amps on stage.
now i use the AFX direct to FOH and two active monitors FRFR for me or as guitarcabsubstitute for smaller gigs.
this are the two dB Opera Modular 412

and this is my bagrack with AFX, wireless and DI box

afx_di.jpg

to control the AFX i use the well known FCB1010 in stompboxmode.

I sold one engl and one koch recently cause the AFX nails it all.

thanks guys

Yep, they're a great amp. Pretty scarce here in Oz too, the last 130W 410-HD (12AX7) on ebay went for way higher than I thought it'd go.
I've had this one since I was 16 ! (I'm now 34).
Just had it serviced and new Winged C Svetlana's installed.

Although it's awesome with pedals or preamps, I'm probably going to baby it now and keep it for cleans only.
Looking at Koch, Elmwood and Diezels for the grunty stuff at the moment.

My gear isn't quite as fancy as some of the stuff on hear, but then, hey, I'm not a working muso, just a bedroom hack.

Trace Elliot Velocette amp - Pure tonal bliss for me
Crate Powerblock - For late night practicing through headphones
Home made pedalboard.

Here's mine: Mesa Boogie Mark IV Widebody Combo. Pedals include an MXR EVH Phase 90, Peterson Stroboflip (not a pedal), and soon to be getting a TC Electronic Nova Delay.
