Is it just me, or is anyone else receving errors when trying to access the forum calendar today?

(time 9:21 am Eastern Daylight for any tech guys combing log files)

I've never clicked it until you've mentioned it.
But, ya. It's broken!

Let's blame it on Raz and the introduction to his 2044 Razcaster!
It was on the calendar so far in advance that it couldn't handle the information of 14237 days!

vBulletin's "calendar.php" file is a known Apache exploit so most likely I'll have to remove it completely. It's been a problem on the battle of the bands webstie as well causing the security to go completely wonky.

Also it could be a bad date so I'll peak at that too. More info soon.

CodeMonkey,

I had chalked it up to a bad date, and I'm sure you'll find that that is the case. I think this because it worked fine up until that morning and then it (and the other calendar-related functions) just errored out.

If it's a security problem, then maybe just remove the links so nobody can exploit it. Shame nobody can patch that php file into relative safety, though. :(

Thanks for looking into it, though! I owe you a binana (that's a binary banana). ;)

Yep, after review, I've found that the calendar only holds dates up to 2038. We can safely assume if I can find the 2044 entry I can fix it. Funny enough, 2038 is the year the SimianProphets perdict the return of "The Great Banana" who will usher in a golden age where the Humans become the Monkeys and the Monkeys become the Humans. Coincidence? I think not.

After further review I have found that you can't access calendar.php because the CodeMonkey habitat doesn't allow anyone to access that file (most likely due to it being a known Apache exploit and hack bots will spider sites for that file) so it looks like we are out of luck for the moment. I'll remove that link from the master list there, and add a calendar to my list of things to do.
