You guys do understand the meaning of "Sneak Peek," right?

It's usually not "divulging all details a month before the trade show where these announcements are made."

I sure do understand this, but it seems that living in Europe means we're always a bit behind you Americans. For example: my local shop didn't even know what a Dargie was, or that it was possible to order an all-rosewood neck for a limited period of time. I wonder if they know about the BFR instruments...
Anyway, my point is: if whatever they're going to release is only available a short period of time, I'd be very handy to know 'cause if I'd decide to jump upon one of those things, I'd better do it fast... Other example: I'm waiting over three months for a black pickguard for a lefty 'Ray and the last time I ordered a MM bass, I wanted a white pearloid pickguard and the guy told me he thought MM didn't offer white pearloid pickguards... You see, you guys are pretty enviable... We don't have a company like GC, MF, Basscentral, The Perfect Bass or on a less large scale a shop like Dubaldo (who, and I derived this from the posts about him over here, actually knows the details about a certain brand) over here in Europe - don't get me started about Belgium - that buy a large inventory of instruments, especially not lefties.

You've said it right bro!

I'm still waiting for a black pickguard I ordered 3 months ago. It looks like I won't see it ever. Sad stories in Belgium, it could be a new movie from Erik Van Looy.
We're not in the freaking tanzanian desert here, and though we frequently miss things. I was glad to find out MarkBass is from Europe and it seems like the Netherlands and Germany is well provided with those amps. In belgium.... no!

Wow. Just wow.
Oh, and thanks, Big Poppa, for making the decision on the Big Al colour so easy now :)

As others from Europe already noted: It would be nice to know how and where we can order in order to not miss the ordering window. Crappy sentence, I know. Not my native language... :)

as always... you'll be able to order from any dealer after the NAMM show starts. the window close date has historically been fuzzier as it's been tied to MMs production log.

so to be safe call your fav. dealer right after order during NAMM and you'll have one with your name on it

After looking again---which I was avoiding so as to not part with more money---I realize I'm going to have to part with one of my expensive basses to free up funds.

For me, the color-changing green looks perfect on a Big Al, but not on a Stingray or Sterling. The combination of the shape and the color are excellent.

Mmmm...an unlined fretless DD2 Al may be in my future.

Big AL pickup combo in a stingray 4 or 5

Hey Sterling,
Here is a suggestion...take all the cool combinations you did over the years
Like: The string hold down bar on the 25th anniversary, the recessed neck plate, the 25th Anniversary/Big AL pickup combo and incorporate it in to the other model lines!!!
