You're right! I guess you've had enough Bongo's for now, looks like the cure for Bongoloid disease is a shot of Big Al. I'm still not cured though, more Bongo's for me.

Scott, please tell me you're doing a fretless Bongo...

This is some sort of collective internet-driven masochism isn't it? :D

So how exactly does Ebony stand up against Rosewood, Maple, and Pau Ferro in terms of tone and durability? Especially in terms of durability.

I'm sure if EBMM is willing to use it, it must be great... but I've never experianced Ebony before... so forgive my ignorance please.

Ebony is much more durable than rosewood, don't know about maple (never really see it on fretless basses) and a tad more durable than pau ferro (apparently) which is also extremely durable. I heard someone here say pau ferro was also called 'iron wood' or something that resembles that.

So yeah, Ebony is verrrry durable. The tone is bright, much more so than rosewood.

But I'm speaking purely on what I've gathered over time here and other bass related sites, I have never experienced Ebony before, only Rosewood, Maple and Pau Ferro.

Okay, a dumb question since I have never played a six string bass... Is it generally tuned in standard guitar tuning? Hmmm. that might be a lot of fun since I can play a guitar too...

I have another question (Hopefully no ones sick of my questions yet:eek:).

Is the middle pickup on the Big Boppa Albert Lee a special pickup? As in, is it optimized for the middle position? Or is it just a standard pickup (I.E., like the ones you'd see online that say "Recomended for Neck" or "Recomended for Bridge")... Sorry if this is unreleased info or anything.

Since I've never seen the first Dargie Delight before can someone tell me the price on the Dargie Delight II? For a Bongo 5HH?

If this question has already been answered sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks.
