How can anyone determine whether, or not, it's worth more to someone else? I suggest you keep it until you can articulate what it is actually worth to you or throw it in the for sale thread with a price that you'd be willing to take for the bass to part with it. If someone pays it, it was obviously worth it to them. If they try and get you to bring the price down lower than you are willing to take, it's worth more to you. This is not rocket science.
Post a picture of the bass, and someone might respond with a selling price. You know how much you paid for it. Are you looking to get the full amount back?
And, maybe drop the attitude, too.
I have a sub 5 that same color and it doesn't color change. You must have a one of a kind worth what ever someone is willing to pay for it. Usually determined by the neck, overall condition, whether it comes with a case. I have owned 15 subs ranging in price from 165 to 650.
