Crisco will do in a pinch if no bacon is handy.
So, Crisco is always handy?

Painted necks are a no-no in my book.
The "WD" in WD-40 stands for "water dispersant" and is not healthy for wood. It does have lubricant properties but is made mostly of petroleum distillates. Use a dedicated product specifically for guitar neck applications to make sure you don't do damage.
I just rub it a bit, and boom. . ! Back to happy again!
It is since you left your tub of it at my house, Jason. By the way, I need new sheets. These are now a fire hazard.
Too abrasive?
wd40 is no bueno
I thought this was just joking around.
Let me just say that this is one of the worst ideas I've heard lately, but I am morbidly curious about what that does to the neck of that bass.
It ain't as bad as WD39, but it's close.
This post makes me wonder what happened to the folks who tested Preparations A-G.
I see you've graduated from the George Costanza school of comedy. ALWAYS leave on a high note.
