If a Bongo was your introduction to Music Man, what EB bass would you consider next? Would you get another Bongo, a Sterling, Sting Ray? After all, one can never have too many MM basses.......can one?

1.Buy a Ray
2.Sell it to someone on the forum after a week or two
3.With the money you got from the sale, purchase a Sterling
4.Trade the Sterling for a Bongo
5.Buy back the Ray

And will now stop referrring to himself in the third person, as that is just odd business.
I still have a Stingray 5, but it suffers from severe emotional neglect.
I'm not at all sure that anything will get them Bongos out of my hands, but I am sorely tempted lately by the dual pickup Sterlings.
We shall see whether that means anything or not.
The Bongo does everything I ever wanted a bass to do, and that's difficult to argue with, eh?

Im not a bongo person but I agree with ya. Many different possibilties..smallequestrian said:If you have an HH, buy an H. If you have an H, buy and HS. If you have an HS, buy an HH. Of course you can always get a fretless one, or maybe one with peizo. If you have a 4, buy a 5...its really not all that hard. Actually the hardest parts is deciding on the colour.

Is there a Custom Shop (Limited Release) Jazz Bass that wears your name?
Anyway, the Bongos are great. Next for me will be a Single H Bongo or a H/SC SR5.

Yes, there are actually several Custom Shop basses and a slew of Custom Shop guitars that bear the "RB Classic" monikor.
As we get older, we get wiser and our tastes change--hopefully, for the better.![]()
There's a guy from the EB Guitar section whose signature is the following:: "5 Years Fender Free". I like that.![]()
Looks like my next bass will be another Bongo, but I'm being tugged heavily towards that Sting Ray 5 that just came in, too. It's got some kind of a secret "chip" planted in it that makes resistance futile.
While I'm here, one of you guys mentioned feeling a bit guilty about people with no food and yet we're chatting about getting more instruments. Just want to let you know that that's one of the things that I really like in this forum. The people who frequent this site seem to have a little something extra to add to the world. Perhaps it's compassion; perhaps it's something else, but I thank you each for whatever it is that makes this forum a pleasant place to roam. :^>)

Although right now I am most drawn to Sterlings/SR5s (for the necks) Im sure I will eventually own one of each model. Alhough i think my next ebmmwill be a natural finish Sterling unlined fretless with piezo and tort guard.shamus63 said:You're going to end up owning at least one of each model.
Just nail up pictures of the Bongo, Ray, and Sterling on your wall, and throw a dart!
