I was walking to pick up some strings (Slinky's, natch) at the local music store today and passed by a pawn shop. They've been known to have some decent basses from time to time. I walk in, and hanging up is a Stingray Classic. I've been dying to replace my Ray since I sold it. I look at the price tag - $695! So I pull it down and inspect. It has some gig wounds, for sure. But the neck is perfect (and the figuring is GORGEOUS), it plays and sounds awesome, and everything works as it should. They were willing to go down to $650. I didn't have enough at the moment, so I put it on layaway until I can pay it off in a week or two. Pics below. So, good deal?
And yes, I will be getting rid of the classy "69" sticker on the PG.
Actually, I'm thinking mirror PG replacement.
