Sound on Majesty guitar cuts out

Every now and then while playing my Majesty guitar the sound will just cut out until I flip the pickup selector.

so if I'm in the middle position I will have to flip it up or down then back to the middle and it works again, but why would it do this?

Could it be that your battery is running low?

Damn well looks like guitar completely died this afternoon.

ended up buying new AA batteries from 2 different places. Was not the problem.
It started up happening very rarely the pickups might cut out and I would have to flip the pickup switch and they would work again. Then sometimes certain pickups would randomly stop working and I would have to remove the batteries and put them back in. It started happening more and more and worse and worse until today it finaly straight up died and no longer works at all.

No blue light when I plug in the cord, not even amber light. Holding down the piezo button does nothing. I did the instructions for reseting the guitar by leaving the cord in and removing the batteries, waiting 10 minutes and putting them back in. no lights, no sounds, no nothing. When I plugged into my amp this morning shortly before it died for good this straight high pitched sound came from the amp, not like a feedback sound I don't know how to describe it.

No I don't leave my guitar plugged in, It go's back in the case everytime I'm done playing it. Its barely a month old with not that much use. I do not gig or even band practice, just play at home. This is the second Majesty now, the first one I sent to musicians friend right away due to very bad fret buzz even with the action raised up, now I have a dead guitar...

Obviously it has some serious electrical issues going in, probably faulty wiring or something shorted out.
Could the pickups or other internal components be damaged or anything by this?

I live in Florida so I have at a least a 5 day travel time in each direction to send this thing in for repair, and I already disposed of the shipping box after waiting like 3 weeks....

This sucks....
