Glenn, I knew Captain Sparkle would like it!

Marty charges $340 for a sparkle finish on a bolt-on and another $50 if you don't take it apart. I made the choice to let him do the disassembly and reassembly because I figured he would be able to fix any dings if anything should happen during that process. Then I figured I'd take it to my setup guy to adjust, but it was so close and I couldn't wait and did my own set up last night. It plays just like it did when it left and it rings and resonates beautifully too, just like when it was powder blue.

WooHoo :D Steve

Steve, oh yah man, I was thinking about some like that. In my opinion you did good man, real good. Hats off to, it looks awesome.

When I first got here I thought sparkle guitars were gaudily looking things. Now, 3-years later, I just love everyone I’ve seen.

You guy’s have a couple of absolute beauties.

Just tuning into this thread - how cow! Nice job there. That's definitely a bold thing to do to a brand new guitar ... man did it ever turn out nicely. Congrats!

Man that thing has me all tingly inside.
What an awesome idea. I feel copycat syndrome coming on. I feel the urge to walk the path you have cleared.

Oh, this thread is bad. LOL. I'm seriously considering getting a used BFR JP at some point and having it refinished by this guy. Either in that Blue or Silver Sparkle. MMM....

why not?, I like those unique models the Dargie BFR where also solid color true, that you miss the nice top but that's a trade off

Well, since you asked... I had to photoshop 2 together and I accidentally cut off the top of the axis when I took it, but here they are side by side... I think they look great together!
