I really hear a lot about these TI's. What brand? I just bought the EB ones and they are great. Did I miss out on something?

It's an acronym for the most expensive bass strings you can buy. Search by price and you'll figure it out pretty quick.

Gang, let's remember that this is the Ernie Ball Forum and Ernie Ball makes strings.

Thanks.

Jack

Ooops! Sorry. I do loves me some slinkies on my others basses. :D I've got some Extra Slinky Slinkies!!

I haven't tried the EB flats but I'd love to give 'em a shot. Which ones have less tension?

Flats

I put a Set of MM flats on my Bongo the Tues. night as the slinkies were dead..
I had The strings waiting just for this..

Got them all changed and fired up the amp .
Wooow I always did like flats and will use the on my bongo from now on.
I've been a Flats user now for more years than I would care to repeat here.

I have found they work real well for all types of music.
Then there is the other things that are spared by using them.
The Frets & your fingers in some cases.

The only thing you may need to do when you change over to flats (depending on what guage you use) is tweek the truse rode as the flats can put more tension on the neck..

Where did you buy the MM Flats, at The Arts?

I can't find anyone in T.O who stocks them. I'm looking to put a set on one of my SR5's.

I usually like to have one bass with flats and one with rounds, just for variety. However, I'm think I'm destined, for the first time, to have two basses with flats.
I'm loving the Sadowsky flats on my Metro RV5, and I think my incoming SR5 fretless is destined to be strung up with some TI flats.

BTW, I play classic rock.
