These guitars are really intriguing. My kids want to start playing (oh noes! less money for MY guitars!) and those Silo20 guitars are right in the price range...
Alright mine is on the way, thanks Pete, will be here Friday, looking forward to trying it out.

Uh oh...... What if the kids get G.A.S. ?
Pete, do you know of any stores in the west coast of Scotland receiving the new models?
Thanks, fella![]()

Then I just say "NO"They're 6 and 7 years old. They'd be happy with a cheap plastic thing resembling a guitar...so a Sterling is perfect to teach them how to play on a comfortable instrument. And it's also good to teach them how to take care of their instrument.
Yeah a Sterling would be an awesome intro to owning a guitar or bass.
I just don't know if I have the patience to teach them how to play...otherwise I would have started them WAY earlier...
So is touching your Bogner and G-System a BIG "no-no" for the kids in the house?
Why not just send em to a teacher?
Ok, Hijack over!![]()
We should check them out dude when they hit the stores.
Make a day of that drink!
Totally.
Looking forward to having "a go" on one of these new fangled contraptions.
Beer then shop, that way I blame the beer![]()

They're going to be pretty small to handle a full scale guitar. You might want to consider one of the 3/4 scale guitars that are out there. We started my son when he was 7 and got him a LXM martin. He's 8 1/2 now and I'm about to get him a used semi-hollow 24 3/4 scale guitar. He's played enough that he CAN play a full scale, but it's clearly more comfortable with just the 3/4 inch shorter scale.
Pay attention to the weight too. We can handle heavier guitars, but smaller kids can't stand with a strap for very long with them. My son went from my Axis copy back to his martin for school shows because of the weight.
