Sterling JP 50 Stealth (update with a bad story)

hello i found a Sterling JP 50 Stealth for sale , i was told its a rare guitar as they only made so many of this version. my questions are

1: is it rare i cant find it listen on sterlings website
2: what would be a fair price to buy a used one at these days
3: or am i better of getting a JP60 instead
4:whats the difference between the JP50 stealth and a regular jp50

Update:
ok update my wife who was super cool thought she would go ahead and buy the guitar while i was at my drs apt for my check up, to make sure cancer is staying away... she does not no much about guitars , but anyways when i came home last friday evening she surprised me with it. all to find out that its missing the back plate cover, picksup cut in and out when trying ti play it, the tone knob is gone and has a mini switch in its place that does not work at all not sure what it was for, the 3 way switch is broken and only works sometimes, also the strings was like 5mm off the board, trem all messed up leaning way into the body... neck was all out of wack,.. so she started to cry when i found out all that was wrong with it.. so in turn got me crying.. she used money she had set aside for a rainy day fund.. and the phone number the person had no longer works guessing a throw away phone and the add is no longer up, so have no way of getting a hold of the person to try to get money back, so after being all mad at this jerk and finally calming the wife down, i have done what i can do fix the guitar, i got the action adjusted and also adjusted the trust rod, but some spots it seems to fret out, so i am guessing it might need a fret job or maybe more adjusting , the pickups are not ones that came with it, they are seymore duncans.. but the wires all are messed up and with that extra mini switch instead of a tone knob has me all confused as i am not good with electronics and wires and trying to figure it out.. so i have been trying to search the internet with a wiring diagram for this guitar so i can try to repair the wires my self and try to put a tone knob back in instead.. but not sure what kind of tone knob i need as i see so many options ... i have no funds right now to buy any of the parts i need, so trying to make a list and try to save up what i can .... i will post some pics of the guitar in a few when i get on my phone as i have the pics on my phone of it when i took pics.. i guess i will end up learning how to fix a guitar and put it back to its regular way... some time in the future... but i am unable to work so reading up i will be doing.. so if anyone has any tips or ideas please feel free to share them with me as i wanna learn this, trying to take a bad thing and make it good...

Not sure I'd call it rare but it was a limited edition color for 2010.

Ouch. I feel sorry for your wife . At the same time I wish my wife would surprise me with a guitar lol. But hey, the guitar was meant to end up with you up until now. At least we all know it has an owner that will treat it good! All the best man.

Post some pics!

First post! If you need help with the wiring for the SD pickups, let me know and I can pull some of the diagrams off of the SD site for you. (Been a member there forever) I'm fairly familiar with wiring SD pups. It sounds like a solid guitar and everything you said is fixable. It's just a matter of setting it up and getting the wiring right on the pick ups which isn't hard.
