There's a pic somewhere of Lucious and I at the Dallas birthday party where I am wearing a shirt called The Lucious Times that's crammed full of "Lukeisms" that was a big hit with everyone in the hotel bar.

Maybe I will bring that to the desert bash - the shirt not the bar hahaha

in dallas after someone requested Luke play Rossana

"Id rather peel my face off w/ a razor blade"

That was, I believe, my lovely but completely inebriated wife with the question.

(I tried to warn her off.)

Speaking of Dallas Lukeisms -

After being late for his morning departure at the hotel, Luke is pulls out his wallet to tip out the VERY tolerant concierge; he opens up the wallet and it's as empty as a F*nd*r engineers head. So Luke says, "How about a hug instead?" and wraps his arms around and lays his head on the chest of a VERY starled and confused man. The concierge's face during and afterwards was priceless. :D

Well, my absolute favorite was at a jam/fusion gig he was part of a few years ago around NAMM at the Coach House. Playing to a houseful of dudes (guitarists) and the audience was pretty quiet and laid back.

Luke gets on the mike and yells, "C'mon you c--ts!" to try and fire up the crowd.

Honorable mention goes to a line he used a month or 2 before OPEN HOUSE I, at the Baked Potato the night he recorded his EL GRUPO cd.

Moments before the music started he got on the mike and was calling for Bob Bradshaw (who was teching for Luke that night), but Bob wasn't around. Luke goes, "He's probably rubbing one out in back."

I actually think it was a STEVE MORSE show with 2 or 3 gifted guitarists going on and jamming before Morse's set. But I can't remember who else played that night...but suffice it to say probably a lot of good players in the audience. Just not nearly as good as Luke and Morse!

yeah its a good un' isnt it

I do really like the one about the low flying duck

its possibly the funniest thing I have heard in a good few weeks
and I socialize with some really funny players

most guitarists/bassists/drummers are pretty funny I find

either that or we all have the same kinda sense of humor
