Just a quick one - saw Billy Idol at the House of Blues in Orlando last Tuesday and Steve Stevens wailed - he killed and mauled - that guy can seriously play. I've waited years to see him live. Just for you guys, he ripped into a stunning yellow Axis - played through Peavey 5150 Mk2s his sound was awesome - encore was Jump - worth seeing if you get a chance... :)

Steve Stevens rulez! :D I saw him playing with Idol in the '80s, and he was just blew me away - his freeform solo played while body surfing the crowd was something to hear! ;)

You saw him Tuesday past? or the Tuesday previous?

I heard on the local readio station that he had broken his wrist!

Saw him Tuesday 26 April - he had a cast or bandage on his right wrist - no windmills but his rhythm playing was absolutely rockin

I saw him back when he played with Vince Neil and they opened up for Van Halen, ' 93? and he had a beautiful pink EVH... I was front row center and had a great view of it. And yeah he can jam...

Sorry Tom. :o

Weather sucked and my nephew didn't feel like being on the road to Delaware... I told him I was driving, but he still wasn't up for the road trip. We'll catch you next time you play at the Cat's Eye... Or maybe me and my wife will make the trip. She was really interested in hearing that band play...

I figure I've got a receipt showing that it's paid in full... I had Steve sign it when he was in town last month. I'm just biding my time... ;)

I went to my local shop the other day and Sarah said "hey Fred I called Ernie Ball today about your guitar..." She said they told her it would be in around mid-June or so. I don't know why she decided to call, but I guess I appreciate the update.

bozzio, levin, stevens "Black light Syndrome" is my fave stevens recording. if I remember correctly he recorded it with either 2 axis guitars or 2 EVH models. can't remember.

fantastic album.

I like Whiplash Smile personally - the second Bozzio Levin Stevens -Situation Dangerous is amazing as well :)
้ำ็ำHe's playing an incredibly well re-arranged "Do You hear what I hear?" on Merry Axemas Vol.2 as well.

I have worked on, and played at least 2 of those guitars..I am a HUGE fan of his.

I remember Billy Idol with Steve Stevens playing at our Rugby League Grand Final here in Australia awhile back. Well they didn't actually play somebody forgot to switch Steves Marshalls from 120v to 240v. The power flipped and they didn't play. All on live television of course.

Steve also did some great playing on his "Steve Stevens' Atomic Playboys" album.
I remember seeing him on TV when I was a teenager, he was playing with Idol and doing all his footpedal delay-based sound effects... really cool. His playing was so effortless, too...

Another dude who should be rolling in dough and a hosuehold name..

You'll notice that Billy Idol never amounted to squat without him!

atomic playboys is both HALARIOUS and technically impressive.

"atomic playboys!... we're radiation Romeos!"

it's also really hard to find I think.

I'm afraid that was just a sign of the times - the 80s were great for cheesey lyrics and amazing guitar. In all fairness, if you listen to most of the early VH albums, the lyrics are not exactly on a par with Dream Theater, but EVH is frighteningly good.
BTW, what does "halarious" mean? Something similar to hilarious I reckon... :)
