I think in the press release for the BC Ltd.Ed. they were coming at it as a "Vintage" kind of finish and feel with the Buttercream and so I think the dots are part of that as well as the fact that they're not white plastic dots but rather cream coloured dots too, I know I get alot of comments on the Bongo's cresent markers but I think I dig the dots on the BC.

Heh--well, if you are getting a fretless, it won't matter, anyway.

No offense to any OLP users, but does anyone else feel like TL has sold out to OLP? I wonder why MM hasn't done a Tony Levin sig bass? It is a cool headstock on the OLP though.

I don't know, I mean, the OLP stuff is really solid for it's price and if they offered enough compensation and artistic license then I think Tony's ok for doing it, as well as seeing that they're very affordable for any and all TL fans...

besdies.... I believe the Benji Madden sig. OLP was out a while before his official MM sig. was released... .... so who knows what's in store....

So apparently the real production basses are to be Peach like his '89 Ray 5. I know one thing. I sure wish they had solid, cheap basses like this when I first started.

Love the stealth, but not as excited about the BC as you guys are. Why shouldn't TL make some dough? Appears to be a perfectly acceptable instrument, and if they make it in peach, I'm sure some of you BC lovers will test the waters Actually, peach might be cool w/a black or tort guard. mmm . . .

Personally, I'd prefer Buttercream if it was a tad more strong in colour, like more butter and less cream or something. But that 'Ray sure looks purdy, Tattooed! I think it'd look better with a red tort guard, as opposed to the brown tort.
