It's a lot of fun. I suspect BP sets a very high bar in the knowing what to do with it department. Of course it's fun to just gaze into it's beautiful green finish too.

Now that the cat's out of the bag.........

No keeping a secret around you guys. :p

I think John is the perfect guy for that Silo, he has quite an eclectic collection of instruments. And BP, you're right, I didn't have a clue what to do with it, it was just sitting in the closet. With John it stays in the family and gets some good use.

Now, I'll have a DDHH SR5, something I will blow the doors off with around DFW on the weekends. He's happy, I'm happy. Plus I've started playing fives again so this was perfect for me.

Now if JW can get a new set of strings? :D

Everybody wins. I brough the Silo to New Orleans with me this week. I think I'm going to try it on a session I'm producing. Nothing like the deep end of the swimming pool.

Congrats on the SR5, Rayban.

Having had some experience now with a DD SR5 HH, I am going to GUESS that you're going to enjoy it quite a bit.

Thunder, my friend, nothing but thunder.

And look at you, playing fivers again.

Cheers, mofo.

Don't I get credit for playing a 6 now? And one with parallel frets. What's the world coming to?

It almost got traded to me.

True. And I almost feel bad about stealing it. And then I play it again... and smile.

Just for future reference, if I'm going to get Dude DNA on my instruments, I prefer it from the other end.

So back to the Silo... Brought it in to school today and let some of my students play it. They're all amazed. Never knew such a beast existed. I think I proved once again that I am by far the coolest professor around.
