So I know on a 5 string bass that the next string above the E is a B when tuned normally. However, on a regular guitar, the next string below the G is also a B. That then got me to thinking about a 6 string bass. What is the tuning on that string below the G? Is it also B or is it something else? I have never played a 6 string before but I started pondering and then I felt like an idiot for not knowing the answer.:confused:

Thank you! I figured it was either a C or a B but wasn't sure which one because of how a guitar tunes past the G string. Thank you!

You can tune it to a B but then you have to remember that the interval is a major 3rd instead of a perfect 4th like the rest of the strings.
