Forgive me, but I'm a keyboard player, we don't much past the direct box... Amps and tubes and speaker cabs and stuff are still new to me... plus I'm not that smart to begin with, so please humor me. :D

Sooo, I have three 8 ohm Bergie's, can I use all of them at once with my LittleMark II?

My limited knowledge says no because of going below 4 ohms... but I don't hear well and I don't pay attention... plus drink a lot...

using them in parallel would be against the manufactures recommendation of not using it below 4 ohms. However, if you could wire them in series...

It's always best not to let the smoke out of devices such as these.

Yes you could probably hook two cabs in series and put that combination in parallel with the third. You might move a lot of air that way so it might be useful (or not). :D

would be 5.33 ohms

Dude--Chuck said he barely understands much beyond plugging cord A into hole B. And, you think he might go in and rewire the things? :D

The answer, Chuck, is, "No. No, you can't use all three 8 ohm cabs at once." ;)

Yeah Chuck, you would definitely be asking for some trouble there. Three 8 ohm cabs together would be 2.67 ohms which would in turn fry your amp:eek: Try this for fun Chuck- Hook up your 2 Berg cabs to your LMKII, then take either the effects send, preamp out or tuner out and plug into the front end of your SVTCL/810 rig. Then let us know if your house is still standing:D

This actually sounds like fun.

Well if I store them here with the two HT112's on the bottom and the HT210 on top at least I can look at. :D

I'm loving these Bergs, the HT210 came the other day, I really like it. I also scarfed a pair of road cases for the HT112 off eBay. I'm not sure what to carry the LittleMark in, I don't think I want to rack mount it, a gig bag would be nice. :D

Chuck- Do you have the HT210s? It's only 11 1/2" front to back(I have this version) and it rules. It's so easy to carry and it sounds amazing just like all the other Bergs.

I just tried the "tuner out" trick above:

I hooked the LittleMarkII to my 2x10 and then from the tuner out I went to my Ashdown that was hooked to my 1x12. It sounded HUGE and I'll probably try it out on one of our larger gigs. I can't hurt my gear this way can I?

No it's just like plugging your bass straight into your Ashdown but you're also getting the Markbass preamp before it hits the Ashdown. If the Ashdown has a "Poweramp In" you can also plug into that and bypass the preamp. That way all of the tone shaping will be done from the Little Mark and you'll just use the poweramp from the Ashdown. When doing it this way the only control that you'll use(and the only one that will be active) on the Ashdown will be the master volume.....

So that is how all that preamp in power amp out stuff works. :D

I think I know how to blow the next Norther out of Kansas.

I am gonna dime the volume on the bongo too. :)

seriously how much fun is making loud noise with instruments... the louder the better.

Seriously a Bongo doesn't have much problem making ampeg cabinets cry. I think the bongo was the cause of my 2x10 having a nervous break down actually.
