The one thing I don't have in my recording arsenal is a LP-type guitar. How close is a Super Sport to LP territory?

My Morse HH BFR was the closest EBMM I've had to a Les Paul. Even the neck felt similar to my 91 LP Standard!

+1 for the Al HH. Additionally more easy to swap PUs on that one, which will you get closer to a LP. But it's not unlikely that you don't want to swap PUs after trying the Al HH.

You cannot go wrong with an AL HH !
The only things you don't have with the AL are the 2 volume knobs and 2 tone knobs for mixing the sound between the 2 humbuckers.
