Technique only???

Any of you Floyd experts have an opinion on this? Here's how I re-string my EVH & Axii; Ball end of strings on the headstock. Any opinions???

I string with the plain end into the headstock like you do, but I only leave a little wrapped, so I cut off about six inches with the ball attached.

use to cut the ball and string the guitar in a normal way when I had mine, to be honest I don't think this makes any difference

You can use the ones they put on the Albert Lee. You can put them on a little crooked in the factory holes, or redrill new holes a little over. I kept mine crooked...I think it bothers Slav more than it bothers me...and he's never even played it!

Always seemed to be the easiest & quickest to me.

There is one "huge" benefit for leaving the barrel end on the tuner!!!

I cut the ball ends off. I don't like the way that the string wraps with the ball end on and I'm not accurate enough cutting the other end to minimize wraps.
