Even up here in the frozen tundra, we have some good BBQ. One guy in particular who does a great job at a little hole-in-the-wall place (usually the best places) http://www.smokyjons.com/2009 Press Release.pdf

Of course we also do a helluva fish fry, deep fried curds, and beer. No darn wonder we're one of the chubbiest states! Too bad you didn't have time to go to a decent dinner when you were up here Ed. Bon Appetit!

I love BBQ from everywhere! Long as it's good. Some of my favorite ribs are the Memphis Dry Rub at Red Hot and Blue in Arlington, VA. Pulled pork in the Carolinas, brisket in Texas, KC style, you name it, I'll eat it. Damn... I'm hungry again.

I agree with Ed on the thin, vinegary sauce. There's a place called Coleman's 30 miles away in Clarksville, Texas that does it that way.

Dang, I'm hungry.

Dangit, I've been trying to watch what I eat and now you guys have gone and made it so I HAVE to go get some BBQ tonight.

Good BBQ is like Bongos. Once you taste it you have to go back for more, and once you've got it in your head the only "cure" is to sample some.

Oh, well. I can always have some collard greens with it and pretend I'm eating healthy.

+1 on the Carolina-style sauce (that's the thin, vinegary one, right)?

My brother-in-law makes some of the best bbq sauce I've ever had. It takes him a month to brew it. We will be serving it at the party.

BP I'll try to send you a batch, but FedEx has some rules about shipping explosives I think. :D

Bleeb it or don't, there's a place here in Ocean Springs, Mississipppi, that has won various awards. "The Shed", it's called, and it IS mighty good.
