pink is actually pretty common.. theres several for sale on ebay right now.

I think the pink ones that i saw on ebay are that wierd pinkish purple that were made for GC a while back, i did not see a proper pink one like in the Japanese pics above, and the green would be awesome, i wish they were around here. But i love mine, and if i buy another, it will be the real axis or better yet an old EVH. But the ax40 is a great little guitar!
 
If I do the neck on mine I'll just go the Tru-Oil and wax route. Multiple coats of each for sure. Eric - what did you use to get the finish off of the fret board on your first one? It would appear to be really difficult to get it all off right up to the frets with just sand paper.

Not so much an ad but rather an instrument series poster. (I beleive they are 18"x24") they were originally designed way back for NAMM posters to accompany the model but the lineup kept growing and booth space is limited so now they are made as web posters.

I actually did use sandpaper, very meticulously.
 
I might do the same to he new one, but the fretboard seems almost bare anyways, it took the oil. So its not totally sealed. If you want it to get a little tint just apply more oil, cause these necks are VERY white maple when they are new, but look awesome when sanded and oiled and broken in!
