Thanks go all around. You guys embraced it, the team and the factory ran with it and it shows that you can still have fun with your pants on (note to Joe and Chuck)

It has been a lot of fun for the forum guys. It's going to be fun again in December or so! Never doubt the evil genius that is Dargin....it could have been just an old green bass or two...Dargin made the martini motif get up and dance!

You are right that a small run makes zero sense. I can assure that it wasnt a profit center, except for steve and jack and pete. JK

Zero sense for the Music Man bottom line, maybe (I'm hoping you guys hit the magic number), but it sure has generated a ton of buzz across the internet.

And we - the local internet dealers plus Pete - did very well with these. As I said in another thread, Steve and I were talking and he said, "I've never even sold 30 sets of strings in one week."

So thanks again to the Music Man team (including the Biggest Poppa ever) and especially thanks to you guys who actually bought all these instruments. You sure kept me busy for a while there!

It was done to make you guys happy, to have some fun and try to show some of my customers on the sidelines the power in getting involved DIRECTLY with your custoimers.

So the guys who wandered into the Big Retailer asking about the Jack Williams Signature Bongo didn't influence you at all?

:D

Guys the DD is why I get up in the morning. The funnest part of my job is to go in the engineering room and talk to Dudley, Drew, Jon, and the other boys and try and come up with something cool yet practical. I was hesitant at first to have my name on any instrument, but this was nothing but fun for me and I think everyone at the factory. Thanks Pops!

Cheers to everyone! I am sitting in a bar in the Oahu airport with "ALGIB" for the next 4 hours waiting for my red eye into SF ......

I can attest to this. I remember the strange gargling noise when Sterling said, "And put Dargie Delight on the headstock!"

Wasn't someone next door being stabbed, too? That was an odd and confusing phone conversation.

Hoist one for me, Dargin! I'm taking a short break from filling out boring paperwork for a Large Government Organization Which Sometimes Protects Important People.

*sigh*

Thanks man!!

<---Betting Jack's email box still has over 500 incoming in it. I know for a fact his PM inbox on the Pit was full a few days ago with 500 PM storage capacity.
