Knowing full well that Marco de Virgilis had designed the Audiophile line for Ernie Ball in the late 90's, it's great to see such a wonderful supportive friendship between the two lines.

In a couple of the Sterling Ball videos many artists are playing through Markbass amps. Conversely, Markbass has recently released their "Bass Bag 24" which has a subtle EBMM advertisement. Here is the link to the product: MARKBASS

Finally, as a longtime Markbass user (LM250 & 104HR), I can't wait for my Bongo to arrive and hear what it sounds like through my rig. (I speculate that it'll sound ridiculous.)

The bassist in Markbass' effects pedals official demo video used a Bongo as well.

YOu are correct about Mark Bass and Audiophile and our relationship. I think Marco is one of the biggest geniuses in the business and have done everything I can to help him

I would like a Music Man / Mesa Boogie Connection

I've owned at least three different Mark Bass combos and they just were not my thing. How about a Music Man / Mesa Boogie Connection. It seems so natural. Both are made in California, both start with M. Both are built like tanks.

Peter Murray is a great player and very helpful guy too. He has posted here and on TB in the past. Love his demos and Markbass PR content. He has also answered a number of questions on their stuff for me in the past.

I like both Mesa and Markbass stuff. They're both a bit different but BP, Tony, Peter and crew sure make the EB/Markbass combo sound great.

The intro of the MB LMII to the USA was (IMO) a revolutionary/benchmark
moment in bass gear- (Time flies!)

...A 6-lb. 500 Watt BASS head that practically fits in your backpocket and sounds very, very good to my ears?! Wow.
B4 that, you had to pay $$$ and WAIT! for a more exotic variant-
Now, we take it for granted.

I have a number of great rigs, including Mesa, including all-tube (!) but my LMII LE gets a lot of airtime with me.
Bringing these to GC was a GOOD thing...

Same contentment with my Markbass rig here. I have the big, heavy stuff and it sounds good, too, but the MB is cleaner, easier to transport and I can EQ in some dirt if I want to.

I like my Peavey BP. LOL

I promise when I get the bucks ( unemployed sucks) I will get me a Markbass head at least. They are lighter than that Peavey.

:) Thanks! It's strange - when Markbass amps became readily available here in NL a couple of years ago, a few professional players used them. Now, it's grown so much that I can list off 10-15 of the absolute top players in the city who use MB. (And for those of you who haven't been here, the music scene is incredible.)

Unfortunately, Music Man instruments haven't caught on as much yet. I helped a friend in purchasing a new Sterling 4HH, but that's it so far. I'm hoping to change that. :) Bongo time!!

Thats Such an understatement. I'm learning from u bp. I've been trained to never pass up an opportunity to make myself look like a genius. I've unfortunately gotten better at it, but think I'll give that up now. It never did feel right.

The mark bass line is brilliant. I use it everyday in the studio. Particularly fond of the 15' speakers, and the tube compressor pedal. The compressor is not only hands down the best pedal compressor you can buy, it also competes with my $2000 urei 1176.

There's a powerful reason to think about Markbass. Seriously.

I'll have to take a photo of what I have sitting in my little studio ("The Scream Parlour") now that I have it all set back up. A LMII hooked up to a 2-10 and 1-15 cabinet, all Markbass. It's so LITTLE and COMPACT and weighs next to nothing.

Right next to that, a Sunn 1200s. BIG rock and roll power. On top of two Ampeg cabs, a 4-10 and a 1-15. Looks like something from an old Grand Funk poster. It will knock your fillings out.

But guess what I use?

Particularly fond of the 15' speakers

I've done more than a fair share of work using only the LMII and the little 1-15 cabinet, which I can carry in one hand.

Man, I love the future!
