Dude, that was my same thought. Like the dude that got the JP that lives in Worcester. He got a beat one dirt cheap. Of course there is also Pete's newest venture, PETE's PAINTING. That's what i was thinking.

I beg of you, make this a sticky. I mean, what's better than a sparkle thread?

BTW, Thanks DJ. :)

No I thank You, Yes If we all push this maybe Big Poppa will at least allow the folks to Custom Order what Sparkles they Offer. In 1962 til 1966 Fender allowed you to custom order Sparkle finishes with an extra Up charge, EB should do the same because there will always be us Nuts who Just Love that stuff and we'll buy em. Sorry boys I doubt very much that it will ever happen. BP's a business man and a smart one too boot. He's been down the sparkley road and it ended up a dead end.

Hopes and dreams people, hopes and dreams, sparkley one, but that's all that's gonna happen here.

DJ, they seem to becoming fewer and fewer out there. Every now and then they appear on EvilBay, but they seem to go fast.

Where do you get them done, or have you gotten any done somewhere?

Thanx, Glenn |B)

There's a few people out there that does great Sparkle Finishes, Incredible work, I am a 100% Supporter of Ernie Ball Music Man but if they no longer offer these finishes then I just get them done elsewhere.

Like anything, you find another sorce

And Im sure Big Poppa Wouldn't care since they no longer offer those finishes. I have over 100 of these basses and Love and Play everyone but like most players i Like to go for what i love and those are Sparkle finishes. DJ

I was going to stay out of this thread since I got my ears boxed the last time I brought up sparkles, but since I didn't start this thread.... I am now offering guitar/bass refinishing. Yes this includes sparkle colors. Yes this includes neon colors. Yes this includes flip-flop colors. No these are not the exact same colors that EB used. I will be posting a gallery on our website of refinished instruments that we've done through the store. Some of them are sparkles.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me [email protected]

Here's a JP7 shot in Molten Gemstone

I prefer shooting non-metal flake colors, but hey, I'll do pretty much whatever :) I have an insane copper sparkle job this weekend, along with a silver spectrum sparkle.

I also have a pornstar sparklescent pink here too...

i have a blue dawn Sterling but i like it cuz its a cool blue. i never actually realized it was sparkle till i started reading this board. pretty dumb, i know, but as strange as it sound i never really "examined" the finish.

im torn on sparkles; i like some and think some are "out there". i think my first choice of a "back from the dead" finish would be trans white.
