Eventually, I was planning on filling the holes and finishing those spots... not sure where I'll get the paint... The tone pot is just a drop in replacement, no drilling there.
Still need to wire it up, but Here it is. It's not quite on center as I was trying to accommodate the key in the top washer, but it's close enough and I'll be filling in the holes anyway. Besides, Can't tell from a distance with the black....
I would have filled the existing slot and screw holes first (with something approaching similar coloured) and then drilled the new hole. But if it works and you are happy, great!
I agree with Beej that you probably should have filled first... but might be worth just filling with a dark color and calling it good if you don't want to refinish the entire guitar?
As we used to say, a man on a galloping horse couldn't tell the different then!
Not fond of the blade, no. I can refill it just as easily later. I need to remove the switch as it's not quite ready to wire up... I'll fill it and file it today.
I would have had a pro do a mod like that, at least on a guitar of that value, but then again they are just tools and not everyone is a collector, i play the **** out of all my guitars!
Yes, I'm starting to think it's a law of nature - for every guitar colour there is a matching nail varnish, somewhere. I found one that matches my buttercream Silo Special. Why anybody would paint their nails that colour, I can't tell you.

I've heard that EBMM draws inspiration for many guitar colors from the automotive world - what if they've been fooling us all this time and they're really based off fingernail polish?
