maybe it has something to do with the price...i mean, everybody wants a gold luke, but not at any price....

Well, the thing is that previously these limited runs were mostly released through GuitarCenter and they in turn weren't allowed to ship to any other place than the USA. With this new PDN these limited runs will be released all over the world which is great for us who can't just go to USA to buy a guitar from GuitarCenter :p

Excellent news, and a great idea, I for one would be very intererested in purchasing limited items via the exec dealer network, if anything I dont' think there's been enough limited stuff in the past - (not a complaint hindsight is a wonderful thing) but with this I think there will be something to float everyones boat and probably more regular than waiting for LE's or Dargie (Both of which were amazing but it's a long year!)

Great stuff, looking forward to March to see how it's all going t work.

BP - one of the teams i manage is a service desk, in the interests of giving your sales guys some peace, is it worth setting up an IVR - (Pre recorded message to fend off unwanted calls???) - might help you out as you have me many times.

Any while I'm on the subject I have been the recipient of generousity and flexibility of the EB Family on more than one occasion for limited instruments, I can tell you if you put your money where your mouth is they'll do their best to help you!

Yeah. I like the color, and the only way to get it is to buy a limited edition....so I have to pay more since they´re limited, signed etc...

Question to Bp or glen and sorry of this has been asked and answered alrdy. Will we b able to see how many select guitars a dealer will have ? Are the 200 pieces going to b divided after orders r placed? What I mean is if Colin or pete let's say get 125 orders for true gold will they get 125? Or will the dealers have limited access to inventory? I personally ask bc I just deal with pete nothing against guitar center or other stores but I tend to b loyal with the guys that have treated me well and Pete is def one of them. So will I have to compete with a few other knuckleheads? Or if I have the money and place the order assuming I'm within that 200 I'll get a piece of history??

Hope this made sense lol

Ps- can I place my preorder for the one off morse? Hehe

Well I think that's the whole idea of the Premier Dealer Network...and Pete and Colin were pretty much the first ones mentioned which is awesome.

I wonder where about on the guitar Luke will sign it?

Front, back, trem cover, will it be clearcoated (that would be cool to preserve it)?

I´ve always liked the sound of the lukes, but not so into the look before I saw Luke´s new "true gold" with ebony fretboard and RW neck. So I think I´m ready to buy if he price is right. If not, I will consider a Suhr modern with the same specs...
It doesn't have any ebony board

This color was a standard color at one time. I assume it didn't sell so they discontinued it. Now Luke has pretty much made this one of his go to guitars if not his #1 and all of a sudden everyone wants the color that they could have had before.

O.K. so there are gold lukes out there already? Cool.
No ebony fretboard? It seems very dark to me are you sure about this?

Yes. Don't knock it til you try it... Luke obviously loves his ;)

Use the search, a few forum members have rosewood neck lukes which they LOooOooVE! They feels so good in the hand. My rosewood neck Albert Lee still gets plenty of love.

Welcome to the forum by the way :)

I remember seeing one true gold luke at Washington Music Center a year or so ago and maybe one other one. There probably are some out there, but not likely with an all rosewood neck and EMG-X pickups.
