The necks will be completely rosewood. The JPs will have stainless steel frets per the normal spec.

A.J. what about the Ball Family Reserve 12th inlay logo on BRF JP models?

Will it be there for this run or will it be replaced with standard shields inlays?

this may be a silly question AJ but was it replaced with another identifier for BFR ?

Yes, bfr guitars now receive a BFR neck plate- it's a neck plate with BFR etched into it.
Sorry for answering two questions directed at AJ- hopefully this is helpful Voo!

Bah. The JP7 BFR Koa is almost 1000€ (1340$) more expensive than the regular JP7 BFR.
And the regular BFR is 500€ (670$) more expensive than the JP12 and JP13 7-string versions.
And the JP12 and JP13 7-string versions are in turn another 500€ more expensive than the regular JP7.

So I definitely can't get the Koa. But I'm wondering what finishes are a good combination with the darker rosewood necks. I'm thinking either Bahama Blue Burst, Cherry Burst, Solar Burst, Trans Black, Cherry Sugar, Platinum Silver or Mystic Dream. Which one would match the best? And if it is a more expensive one, is it worth it over, say, the Mystic Dream which is the cheapest one?

Sorry for asking so many questions :)

If you have the funds, I'd definitely grab a standard figured BFR- those will be coveted instruments forever, especially with the rosewood neck. Plus, the dark rosewood with finishes like Solar burst or Trans black would look SOOOO good imo.

If not, Cherry Sugar and Mystic Dream are real winners in my opinion.

I really want a BFR since I already have a non-BFR guitar! However, I also found out that there is an upcharge of 249€ (334$) for a quilt BFR instead of a flame BFR so I'm not sure if it's worth it. Would you still recommend a Trans Black with a flame top? I also think Trans Black looks really badass but I'm not sure if it fits with the rosewood (dark finish on dark neck)?

I love my Trans black flame, albeit it not having a rosewood neck. I think it'd look great with a rosewood neck- for example here's a BFR trans black 7 with a rosewood neck which I think looks fantastic:

What do you think? I think any BFR finish would look great with a flame personally.

That does look pretty nice to be honest!
I've narrowed down my choices of finish to Bahama Blue Burst and Trans Black (I was the BFR) and I've also checked my funds so I will be able to afford the quilt. I'm actually leaning towards Bahama Blue Burst but still have no idea whether to choose the quilt or the flame.

So many choices, bah!
