Each piece of wood has its own character and personality. When I bought my EVH, there were 6 of them in the store. I played each one of them dry and selected mine based on its natural resonance. Hindsight is a bitch though -one of the ones I passed on was Trans Pink.

Man, I need another one of those guitars, but I got sidetracked by ordering an AL. Okay...next guitar...unless I get further sidetracked by a Silo Spec with piezo.

Take your time Rob. Your incoming AL will be fine. No hurry for another 20th, or the Silo Spec Piezo (Yummy!). EBMM will be there for us when we need another fine axe ;). I am holding on to all my Balls now, keeping it all cool till the GAS bug strikes again! Very very satisfied with all my balls, hope you feeling the same like me too bro! :)

The bright one is the quilt one. The other 2 are much darker. The pups on the piezo one are PAF Joes and Steve's Special.

Have you considered the reason to be that it's the only hardtail of the three?

Or maybe it's the natty headstock :p

Yup... considered that. I'm not ruling that out. I think the hardtail is an integral factor to the tone, but that doesn't explain a snappier tone. If any, most hardtails would give something fatter and warmer, from what I've experienced. this one seems to be brighter and snappier DESPITE the hardtail.

Then again, I could be wrong...:D

thats because dargie is snappier and brighter in real life

whats hot in the high end white strat?

Audemars Piguet is good, and this year they're launching a new design of the Millenary watch called the Piano Forte (the dial is like the keyboard of a piano) A bit bling, but some folks might like it. Franck Muller has some nice stuff. Panerai will always be Panerai, and L.U.Chopard is very cool this year.

But if your'e really into something cool and totally awesome, Look at the Zenith Zero-G Tourbillon.

This one is totally awesome... AND, I think it's very you...:D

Also, from De Grisogono, these are totally cool, very expensive, but honestly, I doubt they can produce it much. They claim they'll make 177 pieces, but I think it's going to be a total of 10 if they're lucky... But remember: It's 100% mechanical.

The Meccanico:

And one more of the coolest watches I've seen this year is this: Cvstos RMT-S
CVSTOS_salon08-013322.jpg

The world's first water resistant minute repeater with tourbillon. This watch costs about $300,000USD. It's tough too! We droped it from a height of 1m, and it survived, and worked fantastically after!

This year's fair was interesting. A lot of brands are going very high end, and very tech-looking. Something very bold, and a big step away from tradition.

Im more traditional...but those look cool do you sell patek? I have two frank muellers and they are kind of out here......

Yes I do. Pateks are one of our best selling brands. We specialise in Franck Mullers, and have some really nice stuff coming this year. (There's 2 nice new case shapes you might like. One is called a Galet, which is more for ladies, and one more is a sport Tonneau shape. Can't remember the name).

You have anything in mind?

P.S. You like A.Lange & Soehne? We have those too...:D

I'm quite a fan of Patek's myself. I really like the classic designs that they have.

One day....
