Not much cheaper, these days. As of 1:00 AM eastern, 7/19/07, approximately 4 cents difference. The value of US dollar is going down, down, down :(

1. Nashville
2. Palm Springs (see the string factory and it is an awesome place in the fall/winter)
3. SLO
4. New Orleans

All great choices I loved New orleans when I was there 7 years ago

Also for the uninformed (ME) what are the months for Fall and winter in the states.

thanks

Ok Im thinking seriously of:

1. Nashville
2. Palm Springs (see the string factory and it is an awesome place in the fall/winter)
3. SLO
4. New Orleans

Ah yes! I say Palm Springs!

Then SLO as #2 choice.

Nashville would also be very nice.

I'd have to give New Orleans a miss though.

I kinda sorta got shot there in 1979......

Anywhere that we can fly to cheaply, (or swim to!) is fine by us - would love to be able to make it this time round!

Hmmmmmm........I may be mistaken, but don't you have to have a passport to go to Canada now? Or did I just have too many beers before that conversation?

Now that Atlanta is out of the mix, Nashville and New Orleans are not that far away... :)

Erika wants (finally) to see SLO.

She says she'll come if it's in San Luis Obispo. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but I do know that for most of us, SLO is the center of the EBMM Universe. Yes, there would be some repeat customers who have already seen the facility, but (from my point of view), so what? It's where the magic happens.

Logistically, much easier to gen up the Big Show of rare guitars, basses, protos, Dargie's desk, The Vault and tri-tips.

I still think SLO is the place to be. Yes, it's harder to get there, but the payoff is BIG. The factory tour alone is worth the extra effort. Someone who hasn't been there correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you want to see it?

Palm Springs would be excellent, too. A string factory tour? YEAH! From my point of view, Palm Springs would be a really strong second choice, and no bitching from me if it ends up in first place. (I worry that Mrs BP would find the proximity of so many Forumites worrisome, but she could hide out at home.)

New Orleans is a no-brainer. I grew up right there. I do have to say - and I think John will back me up here - that it ain't what it used to be. I'd love to give 'my people' the business, but I also worry about the streets. I mean, the streets in NOLA have always been questionable, but now more than ever.

Nashville is a great city with some killer music venues.

If anyone is asking me, my vote, in order, would be:

1. SLO. It's Mecca for the Knuckleheads, and always will be.
2. Palm Springs.
3. New Orleans.
4. Nashville.
