I vote SLO. It's my former home and I'm in the Bay Area so it'd be easy to get there. That's the self-serving part. It's a wonderful town, good eats, a lot safer than big cities and there is a lot to do close by. Happy to pick some folks up on the way down -- I'm north of SFO. Probably easier for the EBMM folks to organize something there, too. And LOTS of good barbeque is available if Sterling doesn't want to man the grill :D.

Kentucky wouldn't be bad. Lexington is quite nice!

SLO is also good because I can drive there!

I like Chicago. But I would choose SLO first. :D

THose who went to the OH, think of the trouble we'd get into in Vegas :D... my wife said she would go for sure if it were in Vegas just to see how bad it would get.

What's the best way to get to SLO from out of town? Fly to L.A., drive up? Fly to SF, drive down? Fly to Fresno? How did people do it for the OH?

San Jose would be a tad closer than flying into San Francisco. But ya - that's the jist. Also, BP hasnt decided where yet...

I had looked into both of those... and were more expensive than LAX (but I bet the drive would be much better)

Having been to the Open House in SLO, that was a wonderful and magical time.

Chicago would be great. Lot's to do, somewhat central location, weather a possible issue.

Atlanta - I still consider Atlanta to be my home, good weather.

Oh yeah. I forgot about San Jose. When I lived in Berkeley, I just flew out of Oakland and SFO.

I was just thinking about what it would be like to get to SLO if it were there. It's not like flying into DFW and taking a hotel shuttle to the Hyatt, and boom... you're in the midst of the party. There's still some traveling to be done at the end of that flight, which might necessitate more time off from work. It would be worth it, though.

It was actually a fun drive (well leaving the party at 12 and driving to get to LAX for my 4:30 homebound flight sucked). Stopped at lots of cool places on the way up to SLO. If we do it again I might have to fly into SF to drive down the coast.
