Just wondering if you guys have considered doing a 7 string JP50.

I have been on the 7 string forum a lot lately and there is a HUGE market for $400-$700 7 string guitars. Quite a few people have made the point that they spend big dollars on their 6 string but want an affordable 7 string.

I for one would buy at least 1.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but I don't think that website represents the entire 7-string playing community. I could be wrong though, I've never been on the site. But I'd actually be interested in one as well, I'm sure they'll be made eventually.

I'd definitely go for one as well.

...and considering the fact that they're already tooled up to spray Silverburst (one of the newer Sterling basses is available in this colour), perhaps that could be a colour for the Sterling JP70...:)

No offense meant here, but use the search function. Its your friend. I'm sure your answer is here in the thread that you started about the same topic a while back.

Well, man. Offense has been taken. I'm not going to search when I want to talk about a new topic. I am here enough to know if we have talked about something recently.

Obviously I have mistakenly created a duplicate thread. I would rather have a forum with some activity and have a duplicate thread here and there than a forum where people like you make others hesitant to post because you harp on the search button.

You're offended b/c he referred you to a thread you started a month ago?

As I said before, no offense, but you clearly have your mind made up that you want to take offense to it. It literally probably takes someone 10 seconds to type in a topic into the search bar to see if its been discussed before, and its there for that reason and others. As far as your reply goes talking about me, harping on the search button, I'm sure most people would agree that it gets rather annoying seeing a duplicate thread when all it does is clutter up this forum, that EB pays for.

Your thread title says "To Pat (or anyone)...correct? I think I fall under the "anyone" category. So I tried to help you out by being polite and letting you know you started a similar thread less than a month ago, and I get flipped out on by someone who's been here 8 months and posted 62 threads? Give me a break. I'm pretty sure that most of the guys here who see that I post regularly will tell you that I'm a nice guy and helpful when it comes to stuff, but hey, I tried to help you out and you wanted to get offended. Its whatever.

Smiley faces suck! haha I certainly got your meaning pretty well, but a lot is lost on the internet with just printed words and no vocal inflection.

EDIT:

Here's an example where the poster started a thread exactly like one he had just replied to a week ago. He saw the humor in his oversight, visible in his response. We all need to sit back from time to time and look at things from a lighter perspective as I don't think anyone on this forum is out to get anyone else.

While we are on the topic of reposting topics, does anyone want to start a new "Why are EBMMs so much more expensive in Europe?" thread?

heheheh it's the weekend, have a good time and relax!

to get back on topic - the 7 string thing is something we have talked about extensively here in the office. Let's just say: a work in progress.

mwah... some ppl would rather have an original crunch lab at the bridge position instead of the trem. makes it easier to sell. and setting them up becomes cheaper too. just 2 cents cuz i got a jp7 anyway :D
