Man that Kustom sure seems in good shape! I used to have a Kustom 100 guitar amp just like that, in silver tuck and roll.

Oh yea, the bass is nice too!

Huh? That sounds more like an endorsement for Spector!

Spector Makes an incredible instrument for 5K Plus, and I have buddies who own many, I just can't get them to sound good and every Concert I've ever been too where guys play these basses Live, Front of house you can't make out what they playing sounds all rumbbly, Now when wearing in ear monitors they sound ok, just not out front. Music Mans sound great in ears and front of house and too top it all off they're made with 100% American Family Pride.

Ask Madbassplaya, hes back from the Spector side but we still lost Husky123 to those. Funny how often they talk about upgrading their pres & changing out their electronics eh? I really believe Spector has a HUGE marketing force on Talkbass, they are 57 pages deep into their club !!! EBMM has better stuff BY FAR but they dont pay fanboys to post incessantly. Hype sells unfortunately... for those that want tone we are here.

Honestly though... 2 band EQs with a blend vs what a Big Al, Sterling HH, Bongo etc bring to the table? I dont get it at all.

That is an issue with the sound man and not the bass and probably a case of running too much compression to get more efficiency out of the mains; you can get dynamic range and clarity from the FOH or strive for SPL, surely you don't expect us to believe you can't get a Spector to sound good, some of us have been doing sound for 20+ years....I have a ton of basses ranging from crap to boutique and anything above a low level P can have clarity through the mix...I like my HH5 a lot so don't take my comments the wrong way....and if you are going to wave the Made in USA flag, Spector makes them there too, and they also make some models overseas just like EB....

I just don't understand why people seem to think there needs to only be one choice and let's find fault with everything else out there....there are a ton of good products out there and EB is one of them, not the only one

I have a NS-5XL and love it for what it is, just as much as I love my Stingrays and Bongos for what they are. Everything has its purpose.

Evidently, every opinion gets a meme, too.
