Question Tuner recommendations

I had a few bucks for my birthday from my son and want to get a tuner for my guitar.
It has to have:-
Large LED read out showing the note
Input and output
and MUST be under $60.

So please don't recommend your Peterson Strobe or whatever because they will be too expensive.
I want to get one with just the money he gave me.

Anyone out there recommend one?

Korg and Boss both make really nice tuners.

Are you looking for something that's a pedal, handheld, rack, etc?

I have used the Boss TU-2 tuner for years. They run about $100 US but you can find them on ebay for $60-$80. Never had any problems with it. I know it's not exactly the price range you stated, but they are reliable.

Yeah. For a pedal tuner, they're probably the best. If you're looking for an inexpensive handheld, the Korg CA-40 is a good choice...and only $25 new. I use a Boss TU-15 for setting up guitars which is about $90 new and has an analog readout. Haven't had a problem and intonation always comes out great.

Yeah. That one seems nice. Lots of players I know use Korg tuners.

I'd like something on the floor (pedal) that I can see easily.

Fender PT-100 is a very good tuner, every bit as accurate as the Boss TU-2 but with less tone suck, a great display, no battery usage when not in tuning mode and a much lower price.

The PT-100 does not have as many features as the TU-2, nor does not handle low frequencies or lower signals as well as the TU-2, but for guitars in standard tuning (or mandolin, in my experience) it's very good indeed. A thumbs up from me. In your price range, it's a good option.

That's the tuner I have now. works very well for its price point.

I have been using a Yamaha YT-150. Cheap and I like the analog meter. I'm not real fond of LED's. I like to see whats going on. I really want a Conn strobe and have been looking for one for quite a while. But the Yamaha tuners are good for the money. It's not a stomp box but it has in/out and more. Check one of their new ones out.

korg pitchblack is good! bigger display than the tu-2.
stay away from anything below 50 quid, the agony you save from getting an expensive but working tuner is worth it!
you know how it goes, the needle is slow in response and you tune past the note before the tuner reacts.. the needle is wobbly, goes back and forth and confuzzling you.. is it tuned or not?
you dont need that, now do you?

Get a Korg LCA-120 right in the price range, actually a little more but worth it, has a large LCD display and has a nice back light, easy to read and versitlie.

I use and really like the Korg Pitchblack. I think they are a bit more than $60 however. Another tuner to look at would be the Dean Markley PT-13 - it is a true bypass footpedal tuner, very large, bright and easy to see display. They run around $60..
