It'd proper never happen but i'd love to see a carved top Axis. Mmmm

I'm gonna be lazy and ask...

is this 25th Anniversary for one guitar? Like Silhouette? or is a 25th Anniversary for the company so there will be a while range on all models?

Unless I'm mistaken, BP said there is one guitar and one bass instead of a universal 2009 SE line.

Once again, Poppa, thanks again for giving us a very early look into what goes on at Headquarters.. I'm really looking forward to seeing more pics. I was hoping that the guitar would be something along the lines of either an archtop or semi-hollow. Can't wait to see the final result.

What you see here is bodywood....(baswood) Tone block (mahog) and our new idea for a semi hoolw with intricate chambers that only Cal Poly engineering graduates understand......

Yes Semi Hollow will be an option....

body shots on monday

Nope, I have an Engineering degree from Cal Poly, and I still don't understand it. :p

I think it's f'ing cool as hell that we get an update like this on a Saturday. Go BP!

And wow, that design sure looks intricate and complicated.

I don't build guitars so I will keep all my armchair analysis to my damn self. :)

Let's just say 5 things:
1. With what I think your doing here this guitar has huge potential to sound amazing!
2. WOW!
3. I am really looking forward to hearing and playing this guitar.
4. I would really be interested in talking about the "art of the science" used in the designing of this guitar.
5. Thank you for sharing this with us.

From what I know its to do with the sound - ya just won't get a real good sound from routing out "swimming pools" in a guitar body.

No doubt BP will tell us.

Looks a great option and one that has been mentioned here over the years.
