I'm thinking a chambered/semi hollow Axis and/or StingRay would be pretty neat. Something that is drastically different from what the company does now, but still celebrating the heritage!

I'm sure whatever it is, it will be well thought out.

Funny that you say that because that's exactly what I thought when I saw the picture. I always wondered how Bose was getting the bass response they do out of such small cubes, until I saw the "audio path" in the speakers.

its called the "transmission line theory"
Understanding the Transmission Line Theory
Bose uses it, but Boston Acoustics was using it in the 70's successfully, they had some of the most awesome speakers that had only 4" drivers. Klipsch uses it too I think.

errr maybe this is what is going on with the labyrinth in this EBMM prototype.
