Beautiful...
Yep, if you were reading from the beginning, BP showed us some pics of them redesigning the headstock, they made it shorter basically, i'd imagine to counter any neck dive caused by the shorter top horn.Is it me, (possible!) but the 25 th ani 5 string bass's headstock look shorter in lengh and wider, is it possible that the neck will be a little wider, not sure if its like a bongo's or SR5.
does anyone know?
Looks great. The bigAL will rock im sure, if it has the tone posibilities that have been described I bet Dave Larue would rock one. At his clinic he talked about all the tones he loves from the bongo.
take care

BOth the guitar and the bass are only called the 25th anniversary for 09 and only available in this color. 2010 they become regular production
I've been following this thread intently but for the life of me can't remember reading anything about color. Maybe it's been mentioned over at the skinny string side? Can somebody clue me in as to the color that the 25th Annis will be?
The redburst in post 949 is the color.
This redburst, not the pinkburst of BP's birthday Big Al.
well if the Big Al is called as such because it's shaped in resemblance to the AL guitar then it should be safe to assume that the 25th (once the anniversary period is over) could be called Big Axis.
Just don't quote me on that one, my assumptions here are never accurate...![]()
Well if its more of the Axis Super Sport variety then I guess they could call it the Big ASS. Don't tell me no one has thought of that?
Hey BP, I dunno if this Q has been asked already so I'll ask: Did positioning the upper horn further back than the Stingray or Bongo significantly affect your reach to the first fret of the 25th? Thanks for the beauties you are offering us this year.
