Ok I think I may have been taken the wrong way with this, I was not in any way suggesting that EB customer service should not be contacted in the first instance of a potential warranty issue. Neither did I intend to suggest that buttercream is the cause of an issue such as is described...hell I don't even know if such an occurance can really happen and never heard of such a thing until today!
It just piqued my interest and I wanted to know more, I apologise if my post came across like a complaint...I have no complaints with EBMM that's why I'm here!!! I'm stoked at picking up the new axe and the fact the case has no silica pack is neither here nor there...I wasn't complaining about a lack of one, just enquiring to those on the forum who may know if putting one in would be a wise move.
