This has been in the works for some time.

Vinnie sent us an email saying that with his increased exposure with UFO that other companies have been after him and that he is ready to switch. I think that without going into too much detail that he felt that he was in a secondary position with us and wanted to be someones big fish.

We wish Vinny nothing but the best and are happy that he was with us the longest of any of the other guitars that he endorsed.

That's sad. I remember seeing him play at Berklee in 2000 and thinking... what a cool guitar...

I'm sad to see Vinnie leave, but that's how it goes sometimes. I'm sure with his monster talent that he can make anybodys guitar sound good.

Sad to see him go as well. As long as you both parted on good terms it's ok by me, BP. If I remember correctly he never wanted a signature guitar developed anyway, so wasn't he making himself a second fiddle by doing that?

At least he'll be playing EBMM guitars and strings in the studio---we all know that.

I think that he did want a sig guitar...That wasnt our deal.

Sad to see VM leave, but life goes on.

BP, it'd be interesting to know what the logistics / requirements / policies of creating a Signature guitar for an artist are ?

i.e JP / AL / SM / EVH etc ....... oh, and Benji VS Vinnie Moore ?

Dumb question.... Say a guy like Vinnie "signs" with Fender or another manufacturer, does that mean he is obligated to not perform in public with an EBMM guitar? I am sure he still likes the guitars just fine. I guess I never fully grasped the business end of the equation.

Hey Pops, sad to hear Vin-Man's leaving.
All the best for him and we all know he loves EBMM & his guitars. Will just be the "normal" business side of things...

*sniff*

Don't forget to add spit to that handshake!

Anyway, all he'll have to do is get a headstock decal from his new endorser and stick it on his beloved EB!!!:D

To every problem, we have a solution!!!

Amazing news, I love VM's playing, his CD's are a constant inpiration. I loved the fact he was a Silo Special player, and a freakin great one at that. I remember getting the UFO live dvd and being so excited i would get to see him play ball !!!!!!!!

Hope his new ventures are successful, i'm sure we are all looking forward to seeing the new VM sig model, if and when it comes out!

Wow this is weird... so much has happened since I've been here. SUB1 discontinued, Vinnie leaves, BFRs, Dargies, Y2D... oh well, life goes on. All the best to Vinnie!
